About Young Makers Club
Young Makers Club is Asmbly’s youth program. We believe that all children should have the chance to learn practical skills, collaborate with peers, and grow their confidence as makers. To achieve these goals, we offer a mix of free events, youth and family classes, scout badge workshops, and summer camps.
Upcoming Events
Make A Toolbox Youth Workshop
September 12, 2026 · 12pm - 2pm
This family-friendly, hands-on workshop will help youth learn basic woodshop safety skills and introduce them to woodworking methods and tools, such as a cordless drill and hammer. After assembling the toolbox, they’ll be able to personalize it with their name or whatever they would like.

Free Youth Workshop – LED Plushies
September 26, 2026 · 12pm - 3pm
Join us for a free hands-on workshop where we’ll build LED Plushies. Designed for kids ages 7-12, this workshop covers the basics of simple circuits and machine-sewing skills. No experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to get a little thread-tangled. All materials are provided!
Join us on September 26th from 12pm – 3pm at Asmbly, no registration required.

Scout Badge Workshops
Asmbly is happy to partner with Scout troops on badge workshops, tailoring hands-on sessions in woodworking, electronics, 3D printing, and more to help scouts earn the badges they’re working toward. If you’d like to bring your group in, reach out to youth@asmbly.org and we’ll work with you on activities, scheduling, and pricing.
Summer Camps
At Asmbly Maker Camp, young makers get hands-on with authentic tools,
materials, and processes. Campers design, build, and fabricate meaningful
projects, from creative experiments to fully finished pieces.
Each camp is intentionally designed around age-appropriate tools, small
group sizes, and making experiences that go far beyond typical craft camps.
This year we are expanding our camp offerings to include campers between
the age of 8 and 17.
