Weaponized Plastic SIG
Weaponized Plastic SIG

Interested in combat robotics? This SIG is the perfect companion to Asmbly's "Weaponized Plastic Bots" class, but anyone is welcome, whether you're taking the class or just curious about building battle-ready bots.
Inspired by the Weaponized Plastic Fighting League (WPFL), these sessions dive into the hands-on details of designing, building, and competing with small combat robots. Each meetup focuses on a different stage of the build process:
- SIG 1 (May 7th): Control Systems (RC vs. microcontroller) and basic electronics options
- SIG 2 (June 4th): Customization options and active weapon design & fabrication
- SIG 3 (July 2nd): Troubleshooting and competition preparation
Sessions are free and open to all skill levels. Come experiment, ask questions, refine your strategy, and get ready for Asmbly's upcoming Weaponized Plastic League Battle Day tournament!

We will meet in the Multipurpose room at Asmbly. In person is best for this meeting as we'll likely break off into small groups, but we will try to accommodate those joining over Zoom as best as we can.

Come meet your Board of Directors at Asmbly Makerspace in the Multipurpose Room (we'll also provide an option to join virtually online)!
The goal is simple: we want to be more transparent about what’s happening behind the scenes at Asmbly and create open lines of communication with you.

- The Big Picture:
- What is the Board’s role,
- How is Asmbly organized,
- Asmbly’s current finances,
- and future work.
- Meet the Board: Who we are, how long we’ve been members, and what we make when we’re in the shop.
- Your Turn: We’ll be answering the questions you submit early, followed by an open-mic Q&A.
We will have snacks for those attending in person (perhaps some home baked goodies!). We’ll also be providing a remote option for those who want to tune in live from home, and we’ll be recording the session so you can catch up later.
This is just the first of many chances to get involved and make your voice heard, so if you miss this one, there will be more opportunities down the road.
