Asmbly Makerspace Anniversary Party

Thanks so much for helping us celebrate our first year in operation!  Check out this video recap of the party to see all the fun we had.

We are thrilled to celebrate our first year in operation and want to show everyone in town what we have to offer at Asmbly!

Join us for a fun filled afternoon with food and drinks, interactive experiences, machine demos, tours, and door prizes.  We’ll also have several members selling items they make in the space — a perfect opportunity for early Father’s Day shopping.  Best of all, you’ll have a chance to meet and connect with other creative makers in the Austin area.

Regardless of whether you consider yourself creative or a maker, we would love to meet you and show you what you could be capable of doing at Asmbly!  RSVP here to help us plan accordingly.

Vendors

Be sure to bring your wallet to shop from some of our awesome Asmbly members who sell items they create in the space!  Here are some of the makers* you will find at the party.

Steve Kupec
Living on the edge woodwork

Door Prizes

We will have several prize drawings throughout the event as well as a prize wheel anyone can spin for opportunities to win discounted classes and membership, as well as some sweet Asmbly swag.

One of the prize drawings we will have includes a custom having a photo of your choice laser cut on our most powerful laser — Tarkin.  Be sure to have a photo ready to send on your phone when you come to the event if you want to enter for this prize!  We will draw three winners for this prize.

We also have some beautiful work made by members including these hardwood pens.

Danny, pictured lower left, is our resident laser guru who built our biggest laser that we fondly call Tarkin. These are a few examples of photos he has rastered on Tarkin.

Here is a running list of door prizes we will be doing drawings for throughout the event:

  • Custom laser photo raster
  • Hardwood pens
  • Cottonwood and epoxy coaster set
    • from Living on the Edge Woodwork
  • Premium workshop apron
  • Live edge cookies from Harvest Lumber

Volunteers

Want to help make this event a success?  Check out volunteer opportunities here for ways you can help out.

We have tasks as simple as bringing a cooler with ice or promising to take photos and videos to upload to our drive, as well as more involved assignments in small 30 minute chunks.

Whatever gift of service you are able to offer will help us ensure a good time for all.  Thank you for your service!
